Cord-bound grey wrappers, lettered and decorated in gilt and dark blue; trifling wear to the ends of the spine; tiny nick to the bottom edge of the rear wrapper; overall, an excellent copy.

Loosely inserted is an original gelatin silver photograph (168 × 223 mm, underdeveloped, with a few small chips and creases to the edges), showing four soldiers in sun helmets mounted on camels, with the Sphynx and one of the pyramids at Giza in the background, taken most likely during the First World War. Also present is a snapshot captioned in ink on the verso: 'Recreation tent erected for the First Light Horse Brigade by the residence of Maadi'. [3 items].
