Large square quarto, 24 (last blank) pages with 2 full-page plates (one in colour) and 2 full-page maps plus 62 colour plates (including a three-panel panorama) and 16 black and white plates (a photographic essay by Geoff Parr); all 78 plates are from photographs.
Blue buckram with a large colour plate set into the front cover; one unillustrated page at the beginning of the pictorial section is a little foxed; essentially a fine copy in the slightly rubbed and marked buckram-covered slipcase (with a small version of the same colour plate set into the top panel).
The other contributors are Kevin Kiernan, Ralph and Elspeth Hope-Johnstone, and Geoff Parr.
