Small oblong quarto (200 × 250 mm), [34] pages plus 21 original full-page photographs of the firm's architectural achievements (each with a descriptive caption printed on a leaf cut to one-third full size).

Plastic-comb-bound flush-cut plain card covers loosely inserted in endpockets in a dark blue thick plastic cover; photographic prints a little curled towards the leading edge; in excellent condition.

Primarily a self-promotional record of 'principal projects either in hand' or recently completed by G. Maunsell & Partners, and its allied Australian firm, Maunsell & Partners (established in 1965, from a branch office set up in Melbourne in 1957). 'Throughout the 1970s, 80s and 90s the practice established a worldwide reputation, especially through its network of offices in Australia, Hong Kong and the UK. By the late 1990s it was the third largest civil engineering consultancy for transportation in the world. In May 2000 the company became part of the AECOM organisation' (Engineering Timelines, online). They were pioneers of the use of prestressed concrete in major bridges, and this 'brag book' captures the companies in a purple patch. In Australia alone, there were some 19 bridges and four docks, all completed within a decade of the company establishing itself in the country. More than half the photographs relate to Australian projects: the Narrows Bridge (Perth); the King's Avenue Bridge (Canberra, two plates); the Gladesville Bridge (Sydney, two plates); the Tasman Bridge (Hobart, two plates); the 'Empress of Australia' Terminal (Sydney); and the standardisation of gauge project for the Western Australian Railways (three plates).
