Early full calf with much later contrasting leather title and date labels; joints broken but the boards are still attached by the cords; minor wear to the extremities, with slight loss to the head and foot of the spine; occasional foxing; leather turn-ins have tanned the margins of the endpapers and the first and last few leaves; mild signs of age and use; overall a very good copy with a contemporary ownership label [Mertoun].
