Very attractive pictorial gold-papered boards slightly bowed; tiny surface erasure to the top corner of the front free endpaper; trifling silverfish blemishes to the final (blank) leaf; an excellent copy with the lightly used and marked dustwrapper.
A large 1936 Kilvington Girls' Grammar School, Ormond, prize plate is mounted on the half-title. The book was awarded to Betty Paterson; the plate is signed by Florence Muriel Fysh, the principal from 1934 to 1943.
