Blind-ruled dark green cloth lettered in gilt on the spine, with the gilt 'View of Mt Olga from 60 miles West' on the front cover; cloth a little rubbed and bumped at the extremities, and lightly marked, with minimal wear to the corner-tips; front hinge cracked but firm; short closed tear near the stub of the map; bottom corner-tip of the first 20 leaves slightly bumped; a very good copy.
The half-title is inscribed 'To My dear Friends | Mr & Mrs Charles Everard | With Love from | The Author's Sister | Alice Marie Giles. | Hillsley | Kew | 23rd November 1884 | Victoria'.
