Gilt-blocked half brown calf and cloth with a red morocco title-label on the spine; all edges gilt; leather slightly scuffed; an excellent copy (internally fine) in the excellent slipcase (very slightly rubbed).
Number 1653 of 2000 copies signed by The Beatles guitarist George Harrison (the editor), Derek Taylor (the author, and publicist for The Beatles), and 'ex Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band drummer "Legs" Larry Smith' (who designed the endpapers). The autobiography of Derek Wyn Taylor (1932-1997), British publicist and record producer. '15,000 words contributed by George Harrison. His introduction and text are interwoven throughout Derek's text. Read in George's own words who probably suggested the name The Beatles. He also writes about Brian Epstein, Stuart Sutcliffe and John in Hamburg and more. Derek Taylor's autobiography [comprises] a massive 250,000 words. Life with The Beatles on tour and at Apple; working with the Byrds, Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Alice Cooper, Monty Python, Harrison Ford and many others' (from the prospectus).
