Seven embroidered silk cushion covers collected by Australian soldiers on active service during the Second World War

All approximately 380 × 410 mm; in excellent (unused) condition.

Five of the covers have an approximation of the Rising Sun badge and the text 'Australian Commonwealth Military Forces, 1941', with additional text reading 'Souvenir of Palestine' or 'From the Holy Land'. Three have been personalised, with 'To my Dear Sister', 'To my Mother', and 'To my Darling'. Offered together with a further two cushion covers ('Souvenir of Egypt' and 'Souvenir de France', both with more generic designs).

Two of the former pieces have 'From Dick with love' written in ink on the verso; one of these is inkstamped 'Fakhr-Edine M. El-Zohri, Mercery ... Gaza (Palestine'). [7 items].
