An uncorrected proof for the first edition of this Booker Prize-winning novel, with autograph corrections to 8 pages and a brief related note on the half-title page (all in pencil). (2) 'Elizabeth Costello' (London, Secker & Warburg, 2003). An uncorrected proof for the first UK edition, with an autograph correction to one page. (3) 'Diary of a Bad Year' (Melbourne, Text Publishing, 2007). An uncorrected proof for the first edition, with autograph corrections to 7 pages and a note enumerating them on the half-title page (all in pencil). (4) 'The Childhood of Jesus' (Melbourne, Text Publishing, 2013). An uncorrected proof for the first Australian edition, with autograph corrections to 3 pages (in ink). (5) 'Here and Now. Letters, 2008-2011' (New York, Viking, 2013). An uncorrected proof for the US edition (co-authored with Paul Auster, published concurrently with the UK edition), with one typographical error circled in pencil and a short autograph annotation on the inside surface of the rear cover. J.M. Coetzee is the first author to win the Booker Prize twice (in 1983 and 1999); he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2003. [5 items].
