Vertical and horizontal folds, as issued; scattered faint foxing; three small (worm) holes in the bottom margin (outside the platemark); in very good condition.
A map of most of the Pacific Ocean showing Australia (labelled 'Nouvelle Hollande', with Tasmania attached to the mainland), Southeast Asia, New Zealand, and the Pacific coasts of China, Russia and North America. The track of the third voyage of Captain James Cook is shown, including his furthest progress into the Arctic and his death at Hawaii. The map was published in Volume 119 of the monumental 'Histoire universelle depuis le Commencement du Monde jusqu'à Présent' (Moutard, 1779-1791), being part of the 'Histoire Moderne' volumes.
