Orange cloth lettered in black on the spine and front cover; spine slightly rubbed at the foot; tiny abrasion to the leading edge of the rear cover; leading edge lightly marked; front free endpaper map lightly rubbed; overall, an excellent copy with remnants of the dustwrapper loosely inserted (the front flap, and the entire back half with the bottom portion of the spine).
The title page is inscribed and signed by the author ('To G.C. Scott. Best of luck old man, Ion L. Idriess. 1938'). This book was first published in 1927 as a novel (and the author's first book); this is the first edition of the rewritten non-fiction version.
