Large quarto, three volumes, comprising two volumes of text plus the matching case containing containing 16 charts, 4 plates of coastal views and 10 botanical plates after Ferdinand Bauer (collating as per the original atlas, but produced in this format to facilitate shelf storage).
Dark tan cloth with a maroon cloth title-label on each spine; the first volume has small white paint spots on the front cover, and both covers have a few surface scratches; the second volume has a few scratches on the rear cover, with the cloth snagged in two spots; some of the folding maps show slight signs of handling; a very good set.
Cover blemishes notwithstanding (but accounted for in the asking price), this uncommon dark tan cloth is far preferable to the fawn cloth almost invariably encountered. Peade A37: 2150 sets. [3 items].
