Gilt- and black-pictorial brown cloth a little rubbed and bumped at the extremities; minor blemishes to the front pastedown (mainly where a small name-label has been removed); occasional light scattered foxing; small professional repairs to the large folding map; mild signs of age and use; a very good copy.

Later editions do not have the main part of the illustration on the front cover in gilt.
