Inscribed and signed by the author. Compiled from letters, diaries and manuscripts; the illustrations are predominantly portraits. Offered with a copy of the 1993 'Supplementary Edition' (card covers, 16 pages, consisting primarily of portraits of members of the battalion, many of whom had died in action, discovered in State Records after the major work had been published).
