Five on a Treasure Island. An Adventure Story for Boys and Girls
London, Hodder & Stoughton Limited, October 1942 (first edition, third impression)/ August 1942.
Octavo, 191, [1] (list of Blyton books) pages with 32 'full-page drawings by Eileen A. Soper' and vignettes by her on the half-title and title page.
Light blue cloth lettered in black on the spine and front cover; extremities slightly bumped and rubbed; tiny mark to the front cover; small mark to the top edge near the spine; expert conservation to a tiny burst (possibly a production flaw) to one leaf (175-176), affecting only one letter in a word; minimal signs of use (mainly a few light fingermarks to some margins); an excellent copy with the excellent price-clipped colour-pictorial dustwrapper (the red lettering on the spine unfaded, but with two short closed tears to the front panel, slight chips to the ends of the spine, and some light marks to the rear panel).
The first Famous Five book, and the dustwrapper on this third impression is identical to that on the first impression, issued a mere two months earlier.
