Drop-title; needle-holes and small notches in the inner margins where sewn when bound (now disbound); short tears near the foot of the spine; paper lightly tanned; an excellent copy.

South Australian Parliamentary Paper Number 179 of 1884; one of only 450 copies. The report by J.E. Brown, SA Conservator of Forests, points out 'the profit to be derived from the systematic cultivation of Wattles; ... the relative strength of the bark of the following species of Acacia, which furnish the Mimosa bark of commerce, and their relative adaptability to the soil and climate of different parts of South Australia ... and report upon other plants yielding tannic acid, which could be grown advantageously' in the state.
