Poems, 1909-1925
London, Faber & Faber Limited, November 1932 (second impression)/ May 1932 (second edition, reset)/ 1925.
Octavo, 128 pages.
Blue cloth lettered in gilt on the spine, all edges uncut; cloth sunned, a little marked and stained, and bumped at the extremities, with light wear to the head of the front joint; library call-number in white ink at the foot of the spine, with three Society of the Sacred Mission library stamps on the front endpaper; edges and endpapers a little foxed; half-title page and last page moderately discoloured; notwithstanding, a presentable copy.
Before the book entered the library of St Michael's Priory in the Adelaide Hills, the author wrote the following in ink on the title page: 'Inscribed for | Marcus Stephens | by T.S. Eliot | 18.ix.33'. For what it's worth, the title page and inscription are a joy to behold.
