Brick-red cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in black, with a colour plate mounted on the front cover; rear cover a little marked; early ownership details neatly erased from the front free endpaper and half-title; scattered light foxing; an excellent copy.
Only two contributions of Australian relevance are apparent: 'The New Chum' by Mary Martin; and 'The Blue Hills of Whingarry' by Nancy M. Hayes. The main contribution is a 'Long Complete Book-length Story' by Ethel Talbot ('The Riddle of the Crimson Fez').
