This is a presentation copy, inscribed 'To Paul from Paul', with a bizarre hand-drawn illustration (probably a self-caricature). The rear cover lists another three titles 'Coming soon' (and this volume has the number '1' printed at the foot of the spine), but it appears only one other volume was published ('The Girl Who Swallowed Bees'). The other titles listed are 'The Skeleton Dreams' and 'The First Journey of the "Merry Depressed"'. Provenance: Paul Greenaway, Australian gallerist (Gagprojects, based in Adelaide).
