Simulated black leather decorated in gilt and blind, with a small pictorial Groninger Museum plate mounted on the rear cover (as issued); all edges gilt; minimal signs of handling; a near-fine copy.
The book was published in conjunction with a touring exhibition of the same name held in The Netherlands, Australia and Denmark in 1997 and 1998. The first English edition was 3000 copies; this second edition is limited to 1500 copies. Melbourne was the only Australian city to host the exhibition, where it was split over two separate venues. 'A History of Andres Serrano' was shown at The National Gallery of Victoria; 'A History of Sex' was shown at Kirkcaldy Davies Galleries. If you are familiar with Serrano's work, this may come as no surprise.
