This new and enlarged second edition may therefore be regarded virtually as a new work'. Indeed it is; the 1878 publication, 'Early Experiences of Colonial Life in South Australia', contains reminiscences of the period 1836 to 1842 (and in far greater detail than in this rewritten 1884 edition).
