Pictorial cloth (Volume II a little sunned on the spine); Volume III has an unevenly tanned bottom edge and slightly tape-stained pastedowns; small name-stamp on both front free endpapers; overall, an excellent pair with the dustwrapper on only Volume III (now a little rubbed and tape-marked).

The first volume in the series, 'From the Earliest Times to the End of the Old Kingdom', was first published in Cairo in 1954. [2 items].
