Study on Regional Pioneer Building Techniques for the National Trust of South Australia
Adelaide, National Trust of South Australia, 1976.
Large quarto, vi, 87 pages of photocopied typescript with 51 full-page original photographs (all printed rectos only).
Flush-cut quarter cloth and pictorial stiff card covers; cloth a little flecked, front cover a little unevenly sunned; a few light bumps and mild signs of age and use; a very good copy.
Presumably one of only a very small number of copies produced ('Commissioned Under Project No. 9, National Estate Programme 1975/76 | Prepared by Consultants D.W. Berry ... and S.H. Gilbert'). The study was later published under the title 'Pioneer Building Techniques in South Australia' by Gilbert-Partners in 1981 (octavo, viii, 103 pages; pictorial papered boards with a dustwrapper). Apart from the much-reduced format, it differed from the original only by the inclusion of a few extra leaves each end, outlining the book and profiling the authors.
