Gilt-lettered, quarter-contrasting cloth; covers slightly bowed; front free endpaper slightly creased; a near-fine copy with the very good dustwrapper (although the book is still in the publisher's original cardboard mailing box, a small section of the rear panel of the dustwrapper, near the head of the spine, has become heavily creased through contact with the interior die-cut cardboard, and the front flap is also creased).
Ansel Adams has signed the half-title in ink. The 12-page introduction is by Paul Brooks; the seven-page foreword is by Adams.
