[Australian Bookplates]

A small collection of eleven Australian bookplates

One plate is mounted, and all other plates show minor signs of having been removed from books or mounts; overall, they are in very good condition. All of them are listed in Peake.

The plates are for Dr Frederick Lucas Benham; R.G. (two different designs); George H. Harris; R.F. Irvine; Fred Johns; Norman McDougall; Noel Pearson; William C. Quin; and Paul Stratmann (two different designs).

Provenance: H.B. (Harry) Muir (1909-1992), bookseller, publisher and bookplate collector; by descent. [11 items].
