[European and American Bookplates]

A small collection of seven European and American bookplates

One plate mounted; three others with traces of previous mounting on the verso; two plates a little marked; a few other signs of use and age, but overall in very good condition.

The plates are for:

1. Hannu Paalasmaa by Rudolf Riess (signed);

2. 'L.M.N., Her Book' (etched, possibly an amateur effort, on a mount inscribed in ink 'Lily from Lydie');

3. Earl E. Fisk, by Haldane McFall;

4. Gwenyth Thomas;

5. 'Bidon de Lyon';

6. G. van Houten, by Wim Zwiers;

7. An engraved plate by Wim Zwiers, not strictly a bookplate, announcing 'Vandaag verhuizen de architecten Sutterland te Rotterdam naar Stationssingel 9a' [Today Sutterland architects in Rotterdam are moving to Stationssingel 9a].
