A pair of bookplates for the pioneering bibliographers of Australian children's books
External dimensions 90 × 75 mm and 80 × 100 mm, respectively; in fine condition.
The bookplate for Marcie Muir is by Astra Lacis (Peake 3891). The bookplate for Kerry White is not in Peake, but the initials 'B.G.' in the plate confirm what the artwork immediately suggests - the artist is Bob Graham, the 'prolific and multi-award winning writer and illustrator of children's books' (Lu Rees Archives, The Library, University of Canberra). Provenance: H.B. (Harry) Muir (1909-1992), bookseller, publisher and bookplate collector; by descent. [2 items].
