Peake 3970. Frederick Millward Grey (1899-1957), English-born painter, etcher and art teacher, lived and worked in South Australia from 1923. Henry Darnley Naylor (1872-1945) was Professor of Classics at the University of Adelaide.

Offered together with a copy of Grey's bookplate for Norman C. Fisher (Peake 1719; halftone).
