Red cloth with a paper title-label mounted on the front cover; covers slightly bowed; an excellent copy in the cloth-covered slipcase with a title-label on the front panel (lightly rubbed, with the label a little foxed).

A curious avant-garde artist's book, which retells Charles Perrault's classic fairy tale by means of coloured abstract pictograms rather than words. One of the artist's 'Imageries' series, which included similar retellings of tales by Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm.
