A small collection of eastern European bookplates and associated ephemera (Slovak, Ukrainian, Russian and Romanian), circa 1980s

A few tiny creases to the corners of a few plates, but overall in fine condition.

The group comprises:

1. Eight bookplates by Slovak artist Stanislav Kollárik (all signed, including one in two different versions on paper and linen).

2. Twelve bookplates for Slovak artist Karol Izakovic by various Russian and Slovak artists (five plates signed; three duplicates).

4. The catalogue and invitation to an exhibition of bookplates to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, held at the Czechoslovak-Soviet House of Friendship in Bratislava in 1989 (including numerous reproductions of patriotic Ukrainian bookplates).

5. The engraved bookplate of Prof. Magda Illi, by Franz Illi, Brasov, Romania (signed).

6. A New Year greeting card from Karol Izakovic-Podolinsky, in the original envelope addressed to Harry Muir.
