This short collection of 13 poems was sold for 1/- (12 pennies) or 12 francs, hence 'Pomes Penyeach' (the thirteenth poem being the 'tilly', the Irish term for the thirteenth item in a 'baker's dozen', and also the title of the first poem). Slocum and Cahoon 28.
