Octavo, two volumes, cxiii and cxxix (in fact 128; the pagination skips lxxvii) pages printed in red and black, with woodcut borders, initials, ornaments, and a woodcut frontispiece in each volume, and a woodcut printer's device in the second volume. The errata slip sometimes found loosely inserted in the first volume is not present.

Original quarter contrasting plain and patterned papered boards, lettered in gilt; leading and bottom edges uncut; covers a little tanned and marked; endpapers browned; a few openings foxed; an excellent set.

One of only 220 sets (of which 200 were offered for sale), printed at the Eragny Press of Lucien and Esther Pissarro. The title vignette and borders were designed and engraved by Lucien, and Esther engraved the other decorations from his designs. The third and fourth books of the press. [2 items].
