Octavo, [vi], 110 pages with the battalion colour patch printed on an early page plus a double-portrait frontispiece and 17 full-page plates (numbered to XVIII but there is no Plate X called for in the list of plates).
Modern cloth lettered in gilt on the spine, with the original two-colour pictorial front wrapper (a little worn and marked, now trimmed) mounted on the front cover; replacement endpapers; plates a little foxed; minimal signs of age and use; overall, a very good copy.
