Quarter vellum and papered boards stamped in gilt; top edge gilt, others uncut; covers lightly soiled and slightly worn at the extremities; uncut edges a little tanned; light offsetting and marks to a few leaves; small burst to the final leaf of text (a paper flaw); a very good copy, internally excellent.
Number 208 of only 375 copies; this copy is inscribed and signed by the author 'To Leslie Meller, from Norman Lindsay'. The papers of the South Australian author Leslie Kirkman Meller, held by the State Library of South Australia (PRG 152), contain important Lindsay material including a 310-page typescript, letters and sketches. Foreword by Robert Graves; edited by Jack Lindsay; musical transcriptions by Peter Warlock (Philip Heseltine).
