A Study of Gurdjieff's teaching

London, Jonathan Cape, 1957 (second impression)/ 1957.

Octavo, 221 pages with 12 diagrams plus 2 plates.

Decorated papered boards stained and a little rubbed; minor signs of use and age; a decent copy with the good dustwrapper reinforced at the folds with clear tape.

Tipped in on the front flyleaf is a typed aerogramme signed by the author to occultist Nicolas [Iovetz]-Tereshchenko. Tereshchenko's armorial bookplate is mounted on the front pastedown, and his small address label is mounted at the rear. The aerogramme (now trimmed of its margins), was sent from Walker's rooms in Harley Street on 21 May 1959: 'I agree with you that at a certain stage one requires contact with people who are in the work. I have made enquiries and I am told that you should write to ...'.
