The prospectus is loosely inserted. Australiana Facsimile Editions Number 222; one of only 201 copies thus (plus another 99 numbered and bound in quarter leather). The 1974 edition, essentially by the same publisher, was the first complete edition in English. This new edition comprises a facsimile of the 609 pages of the text of the first edition (albeit reduced in format by 10%); the prefatory pages have been redesigned and contain additional material including a portrait and a map (although a map has been deleted). The folding map (the famous one of New Holland by Freycinet) is new to this edition.
