An albumen paper photograph (image size 91 × 58 mm), mounted as issued on card (103 × 63 mm), with the photographer's details printed on the verso.

Minimal light foxing, with a few small light stains on the verso; in excellent condition.

There are numerous advertisements and reviews in South Australian town and country newspapers over March-May 1875 for the touring Great Asiatic Circus Company. We presume this photograph to be of two of the 'Celebrated Troupe' of Japanese 'contortionist acrobats' attached to the circus.
