Small octavo, a bi-lingual tête-bêche book with the text in English and Dutch, each portion comprising 16 pages.

Colour-pictorial card covers (with French flaps) lightly marked and a slight crease; an excellent copy.

The English-language title page is signed by the author, the first person to win the Booker Prize twice (in 1983 and 1999); he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2003. 'On the occasion of the New Year 2014 Cossee Publishers are pleased to offer "Nietverloren" to all their friends and relations. The print run is 1500 copies' (verso of the title page). The story was originally published in English in 'Preservation Magazine' (March/April 2002), under the title 'African Experience'. The Dutch translation for this edition is by Gerbrand Bakker.
