Green cloth lettered in gilt on the spine (with 'Faber & Faber' at the foot); top edge dyed blue, others uncut; cloth a little flecked and sunned at the head of the spine, with minimal silverfish loss affecting one letter of the first word ('Ezra'); a very good copy (internally fine) with the price-clipped dustwrapper torn and creased with minor loss near the head of the spine. The dustwrapper lists the publishers as 'Faber & Gwyer' (in six places); Geoffrey Faber bought out the Gwyers in 1929 and named himself as his new partner.
'This selection includes "Personae of Ezra Pound", "Ripostes", "Lustra", "Cathay", "H.S. Mauberley" and some early poems rejected by the author and omitted from his collected edition' (title page). A loosely inserted note from a former owner indicates this copy comes from the collection of the Adelaide poet and academic Charles Jury. Gallup A30a: 'Published 23 November 1928 at 7s. 6d.; 1000 copies printed'. The signed edition of 100 copies (A30b) was published on 10 December.
