Cloth slightly marked at the extremities; an excellent copy with the slightly used dustwrapper.
Castiglione 'arrived in China in 1715 and passed his life at the Court of the Emporers K'ang-hsi, Yung-cheng and Ch'ien-lung'; he died in Peking in 1766.
