Paris, G. Boutitie & Cie. 1923 (first thus).
Quarto, [vi], 309, [11] (index and colophon) pages with dozens of wood-engraved illustrations and ornaments plus 8 full-page wood engravings on laid paper (set as frontispieces to the various sections of the work; 7 have tissue-guards), and 46 plates on wove paper (the additional suite of the wood engravings).
Three-quarter purple morocco and decorative papered boards, with the original wrappers bound in; covers a little sunned about the spine, and slightly rubbed; minimal foxing and signs of use internally; an attractive copy in excellent condition overall.
Number 38 of 1000 copies, this being one of 100 copies (numbered 26-125) on Arches laid paper and issued with an additional suite of the wood-engravings. The cuts by Raphaël Drouart are an excellent complement to Baudelaire's masterpiece.
