Sydney, Aldine Publishing Company, 1890.

Quarto, two volumes, viii, 384 and viii, 385-823 pages plus 125 lithographs (88 plates or portraits, 20 views, 6 tinted views with tissue-guards and 11 chromolithographic natural history plates) and 2 double-page maps.

Half morocco and green cloth, all edges gilt, with marbled endpapers and cloth inner hinges; leather lettered and decorated in gilt, with the title in a large and decorative font on the front covers; spines a little rubbed and unevenly sunned, with a few light surface cracks; cloth lightly marked and flecked; edges a little marked, bleeding slightly into the top corner tip of some leaves in both volumes; mild signs of use and age; overall an excellent set of a work rarely found in such attractive condition.

This half morocco binding (with the binder's ticket of The Sydney Printing and Stationery Co., Limited, Redfern, in both volumes) is essentially a deluxe edition, far more robust than the standard version. [2 items].
