Octavo, six volumes, each volume approximately 170-200 pages with illustrations by the author plus plates (some in colour) and endpaper maps.

Papered boards with the dustwrappers, in uniformly excellent condition apart from the following few minor blemishes: the dustwrapper on the first book is lightly sunned and chipped on the spine; the front free endpaper map of the second volume has a small piece of clear tape attached to it; the dustwrapper of the fourth volume is slightly chipped and torn.

'Beating about the Bush' is inscribed and signed by the author. A complete set of Len Beadell's works. A seventh title, 'Outback Highways', describing the activities of the Gunbarrel Road Construction Party, was published in 1979, but the contents were selected from the author's five books published prior to that date.
