Melbourne, 'Designed, Engraved and Printed by Osboldstone', [circa 1919].
A large full-colour poster (580 × 455 mm) printed on white card, mounted (possibly contemporaneously) on a slightly larger piece of strawboard.
Trifling signs of handling (confined mainly to the white margins); a few tiny chips to the printed surface; overall in excellent condition.
We have also handled examples of this poster presented as the centrefold in a half leather and gilt-decorated cloth cover, with oblong-format printed text as the pastedowns ('Records of the Generals whose Portraits appear on the Record' at the front, and 'Cross Index to Colour Patches and Abbreviated Names of Units ...' at the rear).
