Number 513 of 1250 copies. This is the first edition of this work to contain Victor Hugo's original illustrations. The translation and notes are by James Hogarth; the introduction is by Graham Robb, the author of 'Victor Hugo - a Biography' (1998); and the foreword is by Andrew Graham-Dixon.
