Octavo, [ii], 910, [2] (advertisements) pages with 'Two Hundred and Five Illustrations, executed by Mr Robert Branston, Mr O. Jewitt, Mr J.R. Jobbins, and others', plus a chromolithographic frontispiece ('The Great Conservatory and Grounds at Kew') and a large folding map mounted on the rear pastedown.

Cloth extensively decorated in blind, and lettered in gilt on the spine and front cover ('London and its Vicinity'); cloth slightly rubbed and lightly worn at the corners and foot of the joints; spine sunned; rear inner hinge expertly reinforced; an excellent copy.

The charming presentation inscription on the front flyleaf ('... health, happiness, and prosperity') is dated London, 22 June 1852.
