Octavo (168 × 108 mm), a card bifolium, comprising the colour-printed cover-title (with the Australian flag and the unit's colour patch), the bill of fare, and the nominal roll 'as at Christmas Day 1918' (90 men are listed over two pages).

Card slightly creased and marked; an excellent copy.

Inscribed 'With love from your affectionate nephew Rex'. The menu features traditional fare with the traditional comic exceptions: the pastries on offer are 'Miller's Bombs', 'Abbeville Tarts', and 'Norman's Sticky Fingers' (a fourth choice has been blocked out, 'Censored'); the wine list comprises 'Wood Preserving Oil', 'M.B.O. Whisky', and 'Train Lubricating Oil'. The 24th Company AASC 'formed in Australia March 1916 for 3rd Division Train. Departed Sydney "Persic" 30 May 1916' and served in England and on the Western Front (Australian War Memorial).
