Melbourne, The Australian Bookplate Club, 1944.
Small octavo, pages.
Drop-title, saddle-sewn as issued; light foxing and a few creases; a very good copy.
'Designed and [hand] printed by John Gartner at The Hawthorn Press'. Routine newslettery stuff, plus a 'List of Members and Exchange List', complete with addresses. The lists run to just 47 names, which suggests the upper limit to the print-run was not high. This copy comes from the collection of one of those listed, Edward Edgar Pescott (1872-1954), horticulturalist, naturalist, author and book-collector. Interestingly, one of the five South Australians listed is Miss M. Collett, the future Mrs Marcie Muir.
