Patterned variegated brown cloth lettered in gilt on the spine, all edges uncut; covers slightly bowed; endpapers offset; pastedowns slightly bubbled (probably endemic to the species); overall an excellent copy.

Number 163 of 300 signed copies of the standard edition; there was also a deluxe edition of 120 copies. Provenance: Johannes Larsen, with his small name-stamp on the title page and his pictorial bookplate on the front pastedown (this Australian bookplate and its artist, M.G. Wood, do not appear in Peake's 'Australian Personal Bookplates').
