A group of 10 sepia-toned cartes de visite views of Paris (circa 1860s)

The details of the photographer, Monsieur E. Vimard, 180 Rue de Rivoli, are stamped on the verso of three cards, and all sites are identified in manuscript. The usual suspects are there: Bastille; Madeleine; Palace de Justice; Hotel de Ville; Place de la Concorde; Porte St Denis; Notre Dame ... The last four mentioned contain interesting signs of contemporary life. All cards and photographs show signs of handling; two have been folded across the middle; notwithstanding, an appealing group.
